The objective of a radiation oncology training program is to provide comprehensive education and training in radiation oncology. The program aims to equip trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to effectively diagnose, treat, and manage cancer patients using radiation therapy techniques. Participants are exposed to various aspects of radiation oncology, including radiation physics, radiobiology, treatment planning, and patient care.
Trainees have the opportunity to work closely with experienced radiation oncologists and radiation therapists to gain practical skills in delivering radiation treatments. They learn how to accurately target tumors while minimizing damage to healthy tissues, and they become proficient in using specialized equipment and technologies.
