Brachytherapy Training Program
Turkey (13-17 / 02 / 2023)
The 5 days education program for brachytherapy.
Aim:
To increase attendant practical information about brachytherapy. Attendant free to choose some of those written below. If no choice whole package will be five days. The maximum number of attendants will be 4. Especially 1 Rad. Onc, 1 Med Phys and 1 nurse would be ideal.
1- To determine brachytherapy working environment and methods
2- How to work with radioactive sources/high dose rate afterloader
3- How to decide my applicator, case discussion with applicators
4- How to use brachytherapy applicators
a. Ring, multichannel (+/- tandem), tandem+ovoid (Fletcher), bronchus (Azure), Skin (Leipzig, complex setup), Rotte (inoperable endometrium)
b. Complex Hybrid applicators: Utrecht (parallel needles for paracervical interstitial application), Venezia (parallel and oblique needles for paracervical interstitial application)
c. Multichannel with free perineal needle insertion
d. Oncentra prostate 4D TRUS based HDR brachytherapy
5- Applicator and patient immobilization
6- Patient transfer to CT/MR
7- How to get CT (thickness, ROI)
8- Contouring CT/MR
9- How to accept plan
10- How to remove applicator
11- Managing acute side effects (i.e:hemorrhage) during interstitial needle removal.
General information :
- The training will be in English. - The price includes transportation between Airport-Hotel . - There is just 4 Available Seats. Dates:
